Through The Vine is a fully student-led organization created in August 2020. We aim to give needed guidance to students by providing free services that directly assist the student in preparing to apply for college. We welcome people from all walks of life for both our volunteers and our high school students. Everyone has something unique to offer as everyone’s experiences are different, so we encourage any student and every student to join Through The Vine.
Through The Vine is proudly founded on the principle that all students have the right to accurate and easily accessible information on how to prepare to apply to college. Minority and low-income high school students suffer greatly from the disparity in quality of college preparation perpetuated by the lack of school counselors, highly priced college preparatory services, and insufficient education programs. Our organization is dedicated to bridging the gap by mobilizing college volunteers across the country with whom we work together with to spread valuable information on the college admissions process to all high school students.

All our volunteers are either college students or recent college graduates. We pre-screen them and also have to approve them in order for them to be volunteers. You can find our list of editors here, and our Board of Directors here.
